Hiroshi Yamauchi

Hiroshi Yamauchi was born on November 7, 1927 (Kyoto, Japan). I'ts the son of Fusajiro Yamauchi who is the owner of Nintendo. He planned to study law or engineering, but World War II disrupted his studies.

He was the was the third president of Nintendo Co. Ltd.; and was succeeded by current president Satoru Iwata.

He served as president for over 50 years and is the last of the Yamauchi family to be president of Nintendo Co. Ltd. His great-grandfather was Fusajiro Yamauchi.

In 1992, Yamauchi purchased the Seattle Mariners baseball team.

Nintendo is the third most valuable company in Japan with a value of 85 billion dollars.

He died on September 19, 2013
