Mr. Deeds

A 2002 American comedy film starring Adam Sandler as Longfellow Deeds. Deeds, a pizzeria owner in rural New Hampshire, is brought to New York City after learning he is the heir to Blake Media, a multi-billion dollar company. Deeds plans on selling his shares of the company for $40 billion dollars, but after being deceived by a tabloid reporter and learning that the company is going to be sold off he returns to New York to try to save the company.

The film was directed by Steven Brill. Also featuring Winona Ryder, Peter Gallagher, Jared Harris, Allen Covert, Erick Avari, John Turturro, and Conchata Ferrell.
