I seek to further my empirical knowledge by working as a freelance Translator. Through my diverse professional and academic experiences, I have developed unique skills and technical expertise, particularly suited for work in the position of Translator at your company.
Since the year of 1996, I have worked as a freelance translator/proofreader/interpreter. Through working with translation companies both in US and UK, I have used CAT software including memoQ and Trados. Also I have learned about how and where to study in Canada as well as in US to achieve my goals since 2003. While studying and living alone in foreign countries with no one I know, I have an in-depth understanding of your business needs in US as a foreigner.
Diverse experiences within the financial and consulting industries and academic experiences enabled me to sharpen my understanding of the impact of information technology and management practices on key organizational outcomes and to develop my ability to conduct statistical and economic analysis. I also have deepened my soft skills including: the ability to deal with others in a professional and respectful manner, outstanding communication and networking skills, and always being prepared, while cultivating a diverse network, both in the business community and academia. My professional and academic experiences empowered me to develop a deep appreciation for teaching individuals in a variety of settings to strengthen my ability to transfer knowledge to divergent audiences and field responses to various questions.
These capacities have broadened my in-depth understanding of industries internationally followed by changes of society, economy and culture while studying and living both in US and Canada since the year of 2005. Another learning from the studies is how to utilize diversity, human capital and cultural differences by region from business perspectives.
By synthesizing my empirical knowledge, academic education, and work experiences, I intend to hone the specific translation practices that empower me to reach my full potential.
